When you feel low or drained

An unproductive day does not have to mean you are lazy. Recording changes in your mood, sleep, meals, and daily life can help you explain what is difficult. An app or article cannot determine whether you have depression.

Three things to reflect on

  1. Choose one moment that felt particularly difficult today. Instead of 'all day,' describe when and where it happened and what you were trying to do.
  2. Record feelings and actions separately. Distinguishing 'I felt drained' from 'I skipped a meal and stayed in bed' can help you find something to try differently.
  3. Choose a next action that is manageable. If going outside is too much, try reaching the front door; if eating is difficult, get one ready-to-eat item. If you cannot do it, explore what got in the way.

Example opening · Adapt it to your situation

“Lately I just lie down after work and cannot do anything. Before blaming my willpower, I want to look at the moments in my day that feel especially hard.”

You do not have to explain everything at once. Explore one situation with Maeumi and save what you want to revisit. If the AI gets it wrong, you can correct it or stop the conversation.

When to seek human support

If low mood persists or affects sleep, eating, work, or relationships, seek an assessment from a mental health professional. Maeumi conversations and screening checks do not replace diagnosis or treatment for depression.

If you are concerned about your immediate safety or someone else's, do not wait for an app reply. Contact local emergency services or a crisis line. In South Korea, call 112 or 119 for emergencies, or 109 for suicide prevention support.
