Terms of Service

This English text is provided for convenience. The Korean version is the original and governs if the two differ.

Who may use it

People aged 14 or over may sign up and use this service themselves, and must confirm on signing up that they are 14 or over. Children under 14 may use it once a legal guardian consent process is in place.

Maeumi Plus payments and first-month refunds

Maeumi Plus is an auto-renewing subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play. You can cancel it at any time in the store's subscription settings.
If the service isn't right for you within one month of your first payment, you can get a full refund of the first month (once per person). On iPhone you can ask Apple for the refund from the Maeumi Plus screen in the app; otherwise, write to thomaskim104@safeops.kr.
Apple decides refunds for App Store purchases. If Apple declines a first-month refund request, we will refund the full first-month price ourselves.
To handle a refund request, we may share usage information about the purchase (such as how long and how much it was used) with Apple. We do not share your conversations.
After a refund, Maeumi Plus ends and Maeumi only remembers your first free session. Nothing is deleted — if you subscribe again, Maeumi remembers the rest again. You can always read your past conversations yourself.

Partner discounts

Partner discounts are only for members of schools and organizations we partner with. Membership is confirmed by a school email, a partner code handed out by the partner, or a student ID you upload in the app, and each partnership has its own period.
If we find that someone used a partner code without being a member, passed a code to someone who is not a member, or verified with someone else's student ID or an altered photo, we may cancel that account's discount eligibility and restrict its use of the service.
